I’m Ian Cowpar, a portrait photographer based in Methuen, Massachusetts. I create professional headshots and senior portraits for clients across the Merrimack Valley and North Shore.

What draws me to portraiture is the individual: the expression, character, and small details that make a photograph feel like someone. My work brings those details together with thoughtful lighting, clear direction, and a considered finish.

Before the camera comes out, we talk about what you want your portraits to say. Your work, your style, the places your images will appear, or the chapter you want to remember. Those details shape the wardrobe, setting, and direction of the session.

I’ve been photographing the Merrimack Valley since 2016. As a father of four daughters, I also know how quickly one chapter becomes the next. Creating something lasting from those moments is a part of this work I value deeply.
